This short screenplay was written following a commission from Liverpool Everyman Playhouse and Falling Doors Theatre; Black boy and Tyger Cat is a part of the The Streets Where We Live production created to discover new truths about the slave trade and the streets where we live using new writing and performance art to support education as part of a bespoke walking tour curated by local Liverpool historian, Laurence Westgaph.
